 订货编号 94551005

DESCRIPTION

MAGNUS AIR COOLER CLEANER  is a unique emulsifiable blend of solvents and chemicals for quick penetration and easy removal of oily deposits that form on the finned tubes of air coolers. Regulars cleaning maintenance will keep air coolers at peak efficiency. Also for cleaning oilside deposits of fuel oil heaters, lube oil coolers and associated piping.

CLEANING AIR COOLERS

A. USING ACC (WEEKLY) WHILE  UNDERWAY

ACC may be injected into the air cooler while engine is running by means of a "pressure pot" fixture which has been installed on many vessels. Follow engine manufacturer or turbo-blower manufacturer directions on operating speed during cleaning procedures. Dilute ACC 4 parts water to 1 part ACC.

B. CIRCULATION METHOD( FOR IN

PLACE CLEANING)

1.   Arrange to collect ACC at bottom of  unit

      with drain back to drum.

2.      Circulate by pump and/or spray (airless spray or steady low pressure flow do not atomize) on deposit through access doors. A perforated pipe placed between tubes is effective for reaching normally inaccessible tubes.

3.      Thoroughly saturate deposits and allow to stand for one hour minimum.

4.      Wash off with high pressure water hose and drain to bilge.

5.      Dry with compressed air.

 C. SOAK METHOD

Air coolers may be removed and soaked in ACC to loosen deposits. Circulation or agitation is helpful. After 6-10 hours soaking, wash surface with high pressure hose or compressed air.

CLEANING EXHAUST SIDE OF TURBO-BLOWERS

ACC may also be used to help clean carbon and soot deposits from exhaust side of turbo-blowers. Use the same method as "A" above, observing engine and/or turbo-blower manu-facturers recommendations and restrictions on operation speed. Generally, the washing period should be ten (10) minutes as frequently as found necessary. The turbine casing should be drained during the cleaning and the turbo-charge parts should be thoroughly dried by operating the unit for at least ten (10) minutes after completing the solution introduction. After the ten minute drying period, full speed operation can be resumed. Engine output should be reduced during washing procedure. The turbo-charger speed should be reduced to 25% of maximum speed while introducing the solution.

CLEANING FUEL OIL HEATERS OR LUBE OIL COOLERS

For best results ACC should be circulated through the heat exchange unit for 6 to 8 hours hours depending on the amount of deposits present and the length of time since the last cleaning. When ACC is used as a preventive maintenance item periodically, circulating times can be substantially reduced.

ACC solution can be saved and reused until it becomes throughly contaminated. Flushing unit with kerosene before using ACC will prevent excessive dilution. During cleaning solids may accumulate in reservoir drum. These solids may be removed by allowing the solution to settle and decanting clean liquid from the top. When cleaning action of ACC has been reduced by excessive dilution with fuel oil, the material can then be dumped into the bunker tanks and burned.

For circulating ACC, a pump with a large discharge volume should be used in order to insure rapid flow through the unit. A 30 or  55  gallon drum with a wooden cover containing an opening for the discharge pipe can be used as a reservoir. Use enough ACC to fill the unit and piping and enough material to keep the reservoir one third full. Take pump suction from the reservoir and discharge into the lowest connection on the heat exchanger. Pipe the overflow from the highest point on the heat exchanger back into the reservoir. A fine mesh screen should be adapted to the reservoir return for removing large pieces which become dislodged during the cleaning operation. To aid the dislodging of loosened particles, a method of backflushing can be used as indicated in schematic drawing showing recommended hook-ups for use of ACC..

BURNER TIPS & CARBONIZED PARTS

MAGNUS ACC can be used for cleaning burner tips or carbonized parts by allowing them to soak and then wiping them dry.
